No biggy I can make that way bigger with Skymaxx. I got this setup generally where it is decent, climbed to 30k feet and noticed the cloud draw distance that plagues default X-plane. It also calculates air masses and temperatues for upper airlevels on a scientific base, which is absolutely necessary for correct flight planning using real world tools. Weather conceived out of real weatherdata of 24.000+ stations based on land and at sea (> correct weather over the oceans). I wasn't thrilled with the weather it offers out of the box (it's basically cloud replacements).SO I purchased active sky XP and also fired up my old x-vision presets, to try and get the atmosphere back on track. orrect cloud types (Especially when paired with SkyMaxx Pro v4.7+). So I installed Skymaxx pro, w/ real weather connecter (something I purchased back when Skymaxx was the only addon for X-Plane). And I was kinda bummed to be losing 50% fps. For reference stock, X-plane will hit 70+fps easy on my machine. However, It runs at 30-40 FPS if it's lucky and even though the sim reports 30fps, it still seems to have a micro stutter. I think it looked decent and had good features. So I re-installed X-plane after waiting for FS2020 (because I upgraded my machine and started fresh) and re-installed 圎nviro 1.13 having last tried it before volumetric clouds.

The author of FlyInside did some clever stuff with frame rates and custom interpolation, and I have my doubts the native VR support will be as good (given X-Planes track record on frame rates being important ).

My best guess it will be more than 6 months (about 2 months ago) so it was worth it to use FlyInside till then. It has it’s own type of ASW so it makes for a smooth 90 fps, even in XP.Īustin has said they are working on native VR support, but not sure for when. The counter balance of this is not a group of users who will vocally say we want less settingswe hate settings so much that we are going to go find a poll asking for more settings among a group of users who really like to tweak the sim and jump in and go no no not that please. As I’ve packed my TrackIR away, I really only use XP11 with FlyInside and VR now. The FI author is planning an update to fix that in April, so hopefully not long.

It’s best at the moment for VFR flights, as some of the X-Plane native ‘pop up’ windows you need for IFR (FMS, Map, ATC maybe) don’t work as yet. Neviem sa rozhodn o by bolo lepie pre XPL11 a na moju zostavu.
